On Dec 14, 2012, a lone gunman made a statement to show us what he thinks of society by shooting dead 26 people, mostly small children, at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown Connecticut.
He had the last word. He was among the dead. He shot himself.
Some Rambling Thoughts On A World of Delusions
Just about everything seems fake these days, and some of the coverage of the Newtown Conn. school shooting seems to belong in that category. A number of phoney solutions and phoney responses to these types of incidents have surfaced in the last 24 hours since the shooting took place. But to put the shooting in a broader context, let's first take a brief tour of the phoney world we live in.
People who study different forms of government know that the type of government in the West is not democracy, despite the rubbish that we are often told. The proper name for it, is managed democracy, which is a euphemism for a fake democracy. That's a democracy where the real powers retain control to serve themselves while letting the people think the government is a government of the people. The word democracy comes from two Greek words for people and rule, and it literally means "the people rule." But there are few if any nations in which the people really rule. Certainly not in the United States. Like other fake democracies, the U.S.A. is actually ruled by the news media, big corporations, and special interest groups with powerful lobbies. And so we have elections where the people are promised hope and change but not much actually changes. At least not for the better.
Despite this, "journalists" (most of whom don't do real journalism, but know how to fake it) and politicians constantly refer to the type of governments in the West as "democracies." These people either don't know their business or they are lying. Some of these people are little more than ignorant but articulate stooges who pretty much repeat what they are spoon-fed and have little capacity to think for themselves outside a narrow range. But if I were a betting man, I'd bet that more and more these days, they're just lying.
One we open up our minds to the reality that we live in a fake democracy, the phoniness of the news becomes more and more apparent in so many ways.
Every fake democracy needs a fake President, and Obama seems to be perfect for the job. But what's so fake about the "President"? Several things.
First of all, there are videos on the Web of Obama speaking in which he seems to clearly admit that he was not born in the U.S.A.. Anyone who has not seen them owes it to themselves to do some googling around for them. If he was not born in the U.S. then he is not really the President. And since these videos were (and probably still are) on the Web and have had a great many people view them, then the media must know about them too. So why do they support a fake President? Why do they ridicule those who question his legitimacy? Because the fake corporate media are owned by the same people who own the fake President of the fake democracy.
Then there's the issue of who really tells the "President" what to do. Is he really free to do as he chooses, or is he more or less told what to do by other people working behind the scenes? Many people these days suspect that it is the latter, and there are many excellent reasons to think they are right. They are not wacko conspiracy buffs. Well, not all of them. There really is something sinister going on. Something big.
Since the U.S. is not a real democracy, what should we call the head of state? The term "President" just does not seem appropriate for a corporate-media-lobbiest-controlled government. Federal CEO would be more accurate. But with the U.S.A. looking and acting so much like a global military machine, perhaps Emperor or Commander-in-Chief would be more appropriate.
With everything being so fake these days, perhaps we should just call him the Phoney-in-Chief.
The news media, because they refer to Obama as the "President" rather than the Phoney-in-Chief, Usurper, Federal CEO, or Thug-in-Command, clearly support the corrupt establishment. Well, why wouldn't they, since they largely control it, apparently being owned by the same people who own the "President," the Senate, the Congress, and both political parties.
"We've Blown The Video Up, There Are No Tears"—Alex Jones
After another tragic school shooting on Dec 14, 2012 the "President" of the United States appeared on television, wiping away tears. Or at least pretending to wipe away tears, depending on who you ask. Well, I could be wrong, but it surely looked fake to me.
Some, like Alex Jones, another fake, but no worse than the mainstream media fakes, said he zoomed in on Obama's dry eyes, and reported that Obama's "tears" were definite fakes. He's probably right, but what interersts me more is the media's reaction.
Despite how fake the tears looked, at least to some, the fake news media seemed to have no doubt about the "President's" sincerity, as they hung on every word the "President" said. They acted like there was no doubt in their minds that the "President" really meant what he said, even though most Americans think most or all of their "Presidents" are liars anyway.
All the calls for gun bans in the wake of the tragedy sound pretty fake too. While they were still counting the dead on the day of the shooting the media were telling us that this shooting had changed the nature of the gun control debate. People everywhere, we were told, were now doing a serious rethink on the issue of gun control. Bullshit. The "people" doing the "rethink" were the anti-gun pundits themselves. The ususal pundits who don't like gun rights anyway were having a field-day. They won't let a tragedy go to waste. Every tragedy is another opportunity to push their agenda for greater control of the public while they fake sympathy for the dead.
Calling for more gun control brings to mind an oft-repeated saying of Herbert Armstrong, who by the way, was a fake apostle and plagiarist—a.k.a. a literary faker. He said that people often treat the effect rather than the cause. Gun control is treating the effect. The cause is our sick, predatory, bullshit society. People everywhere are out to swindle us, manipulate us, control us, or use us.
The shooter, of course, is being described as "mentally ill" which is, for the most part, just a fake medical term for someone who is depressed or really pissed off.
You've probably seen the bumper-sticker that reads: "The Number One Rule of Gun Safety: Don't Piss Me Off." That about sums it up.
The label "mentally ill" is attached to someone who is pissed off or depressed by the screwed-up world that we live in. The fact is however, that neither depression or anger are mental illnesses. The brain of a depressed or angry person is functioning the way it was designed to function. It is simply nature at work. Depression and anger are natural and normal responses of the human body and mind and they happen to everyone including perfectly healthy people of all ages. It's not an illness, it's just the way the body and find function. Anyone who experiences significant, repeated, or ongoing abuse or emotional trauma will become that way.
The term "mental illness" is a self-serving term devised by the establishment for its own ends. It serves the sick system but not the "sick" person. While pretending to have the best interests of the person at heart, the system can pretend to "treat" the "sick" person by locking him up or suppressing his symptoms with drugs. Neither fake solution is healthy or constructive. In the mean-time, the system and the society can go on self-righteously denying their own sickness. Instead they blame the victim, and stigmatize him with the derogatory term "mentally ill."
Then we wonder what caused all of his. Duh. We did.
At times like this, the media seem to trip over themselves to remind us of what a great place we really do live in, after all. We are told how wonderful the authorities are. Like the teachers who tried to protect the children. Maybe so. But when they are not dodging bullets, some of these same teachers are feeding the gullible little darlings (and brats) fake values and fake history lessons to manipulate their minds and prop up the fake system. Stooges teaching stooges.
Choose Your Delusions, But Don't Choose Mine
We live in a world of illusions and delusions. Some turn to alcohol or drugs to dull the pain of reality, or to get away from it for a while. That is the world we have created—one that people want to get away from. Some people want to get away from it so bad that they kill themselves. Some of those people decide to take a few others with them on the way out.
More and more I wonder if people can live without illusions. Without some kind of religion, people seem to have little to live for, little to comfort them in times of crisis, and few true values. Stripped of their religion, some people become jerks. Then again, I've met some total jerks who had plenty of religion.
One retired government "expert" suggested that the shooter must have been "detached from reality." Maybe so. But with all the bullshit we're fed, who isn't? That is the purpose of bullshit, to detach us from reality. If the shooter did what he did because he was detached from reality, then we can blame the purveyors of bullshit for what happened. Chief among them are the politicans, the news pundits, the marketers and the churches. That would include the Churches of God. The combined affect of all this bullshit is to create a fog through which the light of truth cannot shine. And without truth, there are no answers. No solutions.
Everyone these days tries to out-bullshit the competition. The other party. The other company. The other church. The purveyors of bullshit are all poisoning the air we breathe. They are pissing in the water we all drink from.
Churches of God? The term has become almost meaningless. We call them Churches of God because the words, "Church of God" are in their names. But there's a lot of bullshit there too, because those Churches of God can't all be of God. God is not the author of confusion. God doesn't have several different apostles who all think the other apostles are fake apostles. It just doesn't work that way. So a lot of these Churches of God (some would say all of them) must be fakes too. The members choose to support one fake church or another. They choose their delusions.
The news media have their fake explanation: mental illness, not societal illness. They have their fake solution—more control of the people. Make them even more powerless. Ban guns. Sell more meds and force people to take them. Don't bother to end the bullshit. Instead, they will play games. They will manipulate the situation. They will add to the bullshit. Use the opportunity to push their own agenda. Won't bother to build a more honest and caring society. That would get in the way of profits and the agenda. The fake society is not the problem, the shooter is. The lone madman.
The truth is that the shooter is just a blip. A symptom of the underlying problem. Everyone is part of the problem. Everyone. Because everyone uses bullshit, supports bullshit, or turns a blind eye to bullshit.
The fake apostles and fake evangelists in the fake Churches of God will offer their fake solution to all of this—The Wonderful World Tomorrow. A world that will never come because it's based on false beliefs promulgated by a fake apostle.
They will deny that they are part of this sick world but they are wrong. Instead of doing something constructive they plow stacks of money into television programs that have no demonstrable impact.
One might think that people have a right to choose their delusions, as long as that choice does not negatively affect others. Unfortunately, it will, because our beliefs have unintended consequences. And even if people have a right to choose their own delusions, they have no right to choose mine for me. So enough with the bullshit that we're choking in, because some of us prefer the truth.
We've tried bullshit and it hasn't worked. Let's try something else.
Notes added later.
1. The shooter is generally portrayed as a loser with a personality disorder who should have been on drugs or in an institution. Yet he too was a victim; a human being who was probably shunned and abused and driven to do what he did.
2. We lose a lot more children to the suicide epidemic than were shot in that school, but nobody seems to be doing much about it. If they had, this might not have happened. The shooting was a suicide, but one in which the exiter got his revenge on society on his way out.
3. I have known some in the Churches of God who were a bit odd, and even there, some were shunned by almost the entire congregation. That is not right.
4. Take a good look at the video of Obama's speech on the day of the shooting. He wipes away a fake tear with his middle finger at the same time he says "Americans." He has a history of subtly giving the finger to people he does not like. He used similar middle-finger gestures when competing with Hillary Clinton for the Democratic Nomination and when competing with John McCain for the White House. All these videos can be found on the Web.
5. The push to get more people on drugs is not surprising given that the major television networks sell a lot of advertising space to drug companies. He who pays the piper calls the tune.
6. When communists took over Russia in 1917 it resulted in the deaths of 20 million people. People that the new regime didn't like were wiped out. Did the Russians see it coming? No. Could it happen here? Yes. That is why we need guns. The 20 dead children in Newtown need to be put in that context. Would we prefer 20 dead or 20 million dead? The media should understand that, but they are incompetent fools.
