THE GRAVEYARD CHURCH OF GOD
THE APOSTLE INQUIRES...
Letters to the World
Dear Robert McNally:
I request that you provide a link to
hwarmstrong.com
, the home of the Graveyard Church of God on your WCG
former believers page. I am not alive, but well and am intent on turning the
hearts of the unrepentant back to the fold.
Herbert W. Armstrong, Apostle
Dear Mr. Armstrong,
Thank you for writing. I have reviewed the online material you referred to and
found it to be in the "spirit" of the old WCG, and quite funny as well.
Unfortunately, as you are clearly still a believer in God's one true plan of
salvation for all mankind, you hardly qualify as a non-believer. I must
therefore turn down your request for a link from my site. If you do decide to
give up religion someday, I would be happy to post your testimonial on my page.
Simply signify your change of heart by returning all the tithes and offerings I
handed over in the course of my over 25 years association with Worldwide Church
of God.
Sincerely,
Robert McNally Personal Correspondence Department Ex-WCG Non-Believers Page
Dear Monte Wolverton,
The Graveyard Church of God has selected Basil Wolverton's artwork FAMINE, a
piece he did for me years ago to scare the Lake of Fire out of the kiddies, as
worthy of inclusion in the most important web site on the earth today. If you
don't grant me permission, YOU WILL GO TO THE LAKE OF FIRE.
Sincerely,
Herbert W. Armstrong
Well, greetings, Herb --
It's been a while. And I imagine you are rotating at several thousand RPM these
days... Great website! Possibly the FINEST website in the world. It's good to
see you have kept up with technology, even in death. In seriousness -- you will
notice, however, that the colorized versions of the Wolverton art in question
are copyrighted by me (not the church -- and no -- they are not public domain).
I will, however, grant you permission to use the "Famine" illustration, as shown
on your site, under two conditions: 1) You must display my copyright notice
adjacent to the art: Copyright 1998 Monte Wolverton. 2) you must provide a link
to my website: http:www.wolvertoon.com/toons -- or
ht tp://www.toonville.com/wolvertoon/page6.html (which would take the user
directly to the Wolverton apocalyptic art section of my site. Hope these
conditions are to your liking -- 'cause I sure as hell don't wanna end up in the
lake o' fire. And I wish you success in your great, globe-girdling, worldwide
work. It is indeed the ONE TRUE website. All others are websites falsely
so-called. Will you be revisiting dead heads of state soon?
Best -- Monte
