Transformed by Truth?????
Even though the Worldwide Church of God knows what a despicable person Herbert W. Armstrong was, they still must keep and praise him as their founder. Their whole claim to fame and their authority as a ministry rests on him. They will throw out all Herbert W. Armstrong taught but they have to keep him.
Joe Jr. told me personally, that he was widely known as "the bearded Armstrong basher." Doesn't sound like he is bashing Herbert W. Armstrong in the following quotes. It has to be hard for him to find good things to say about someone that he really wants to bash. Can it be that money is now more important than truth?

p144 - "The Bible has proclaimed this message all along. All we have done is take seriously Mr. Armstrong's instruction to find out what the Bible teaches and then go and follow it. This isn't always easy, but it is always right."
p146 - "One of the major themes of Mr. Armstrong's ministry had been that we should follow the lead of the Scriptures no matter what. He would often say, 'Don't believe me, believe the Bible.' That's exactly what we were committed to doing."
p168 - "Regardless of what you may personally think of Herbert W. Armstrong, one fact is incontrovertible: The overriding reason our reforms have developed and taken root is that Mr. Armstrong himself always insisted that those who want to follow God must find what God's Word says, then go and do it."
p169 - "This evangelical influence is one of the strongest reasons Mr. Armstrong consistently pointed to the Bible as his final authority for faith and practice, ..."
