First, let's review the stellar year of 2022:

Globalists, corporatists, nihilists, feminists, social justice warriors, socialists, communists, sociopaths, psychopaths, narcissists, borderline, histrionic, progressives, liberals, leftists, Democrats, Antifa, Black Lives Matter, lying media, the medical and military industrial complex are collectively The Elite. The Elite have one defining quality: They are better than us. Because of that, they have the hubris to believe they have the correct vision for the future and are qualified to change the world to that vision. While they claim to be doing for our good, they are really doing it for their own 'good'.

We must understand corporatism to grasp what The Elite are all about:

"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." -- Benito Mussolini

Corporatism is collectivist. It should not be confused with capitalism. Capitalism is an economic system that recognizes individual rights with the individual taking the initiative, taking the risks and reaping the rewards. On the other hand corporatism exercises control over the individual for the supposed good of the collective, with the organization of society into industrial and professional corporations, tightly integrated with government, serving as organs of political representation and exercising control over persons and activities within their jurisdiction. The Elite consider the whole world under their jurisdiction. Heck, they consider the entire universe under their jurisdiction. The Elite want censorship and slavery to further their goals for the equality of outcome. The freedom of capitalism is anathema to The Elite.

The Elite also have the property that as a collective, the 'truth' is dependent upon their belief. In other words, if their daft echo chamber of the collective believes something, it is absolutely true and no one should question their judgment. Imagine it as a group, and it becomes real. In 2022, the epitome of this screwy distorted perception gave us the confident statement that "men can be pregnant". If you disagree with them, you are the enemy and must be destroyed, which usually starts as a cancel culture moment where opponents are systematically erased from public exposure, and, for good measure, lies are invented as propaganda to create the illusion that the opponent is evil and be shunned. An example of this was when President Trump was impeached for revealing Hunter Biden's laptop. It turns out that the basis of the impeachment was a lie, but that didn't matter. President Trump had the facts which were in conflict with The Elite view of things and he had to be cancelled.

Over two years -- 2021 through 2022 -- The Elite have had a field day. They have also had their heroes. Dr. Anthony Fauci had a mission in life to create 'gain of function'. This means, he wanted to take a virus from infecting just a single lower animal to infect across species. This is not as simple as it may sound. He had to work within the Obama Administration to create a laboratory in Wuhan, China because it was illegal to do in the United States. He secured obscured funding. He collaborated with professionals across international boundaries. They worked really hard on this and produced a wondrous pandemic which had the side benefit of giving corporatist control over major populations of the world to lock them down and ruin the world economies. This gave power to the corporatist fascists who used that power to make billions of dollars. Pfizer had already secretly made their mRNA 'vaccine' better known as 'the clot shot' by purebloods in 2019 to coincide with the release of COVID. You could say that Dr. Fauci had a stunning success in achieving his goal and the torture of monkeys, cats and beagles was worth it. Of course, the yelping of the beagles from the pain had to be mitigated by cutting their vocal cords, because the noise was annoying, but it was all for the good of the order. Happily, tens of millions died. Actually, more people died from the clot shot than from the disease. This was excellent because the goal of The Elite is to kill of some 7.5 billion people. 500 million people is about the right number to maintain the technological advancements that The Elite desire.

Klaus Schwab is another hero of The Elite as the leader of the World Economic Forum. His close associate, Doctor Yuval Noah Harari, is a transhumanist and top advisor to Klaus Schwab. Dr. Harari is significant because he is proposing to rewrite human DNA to change what it is to be human. This also fits in fairly well with the upcoming approval by the FDA of the Neurolink chip created by Elon Musk to plant into brains of people to control link them to computers to expand access to information. Note comment by Dr. Harari about human elites. We aren't kidding. This is serious stuff. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Why? Because although The Elite have all these high concept ideas and they have technology to support it, they are abject fools. They never ask, "What could go wrong?". What could go wrong? Destruction of the world and destruction of humanity. These fools don't understand the impact and collateral effects of what they do. Bill Gates wanted to spew particles into the air to lessen global warming. First of all, is global warming a problem? A college graduate that taught middle school did not know up until she was 78 years old that carbon dioxide was necessary for plants to grow. We all have to wonder what knowledge gaps these Yahoos have that could collapse the world around us. Will they initiate a sequence of events that will fall like dominoes to destroy everything? How would they know? They have poor judgment because they will never listen to those who are qualified.

When we speak of the Globalist Elite, we should take note the role Henry Kissinger played in forming the world as it is today. If you recall, he was the one who worked with President Richard Nixon to open commerce with China in the 1970s. It should also be noted that Henry Kissinger was mentor to Klaus Schwab. There is a world of intrigue to probe there.

Do you think you are safe?

Many who have come through Armstrongism assume that God will protect them, or at the very least, they are some how 'protected' and are 'special'. Unfortunately, the world is changing and with The Elite taking over the world, there is beginning to be no place to hide. Many may still think they have the protection of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, particularly the part where employers must 'make reasonable accommodation' for religious beliefs.

A member who is now in one of the largest sects of the erstwhile Worldwide Church of God, who has been accustomed to the privileges of religious freedom recently received a notice for jury duty. She dutifully contacted the her pastor and (again) received both the article outlining the church's view of jury duty, plus a signed letter from the minister concerning the request to forego the duty. These, along with a similar article and a pastor's letter from a decade previous were emailed to the jurisdiction in which she lived. She got no response. She called. The official told her that the court no longer honored such requests. If she refused duty, she would have to take it up with the court, but there was absolutely no guarantee that the request would be honored -- in fact, it sounded as if her petition would be denied. Fortunately, they did allow her to skip jury duty because of her age.

This is just one example. Another is a man who was to submit to taking the mRNA shot for COVID. He claimed religious exemption. No dice. He had to take the shot. Afterward, he attended the Feast of Tabernacles with his wife who did not take the shot. Ironically, they both got COVID while at the Feast.

The Elite are making the rules. They are effectively transforming the rules worldwide. Of course, they are entitled, so the rules don't apply to them... at least the most powerful and politically connected, not to mention, richest of them all. What the say goes, whether it is in China, Switzerland, Canada, the United States, South Africa or Venezuela. As this wave of change continues to expand, there is a coming fascism that will not be opposed.

No, you are not safe. You are small; you are weak; you are vulnerable.

And remember: The Elite are often quite arbitrary.

But we've seen this all before

Many would like to continue to wallow in the myth that Herbert Armstrong was a conservative. He was nothing of the kind. He was one of The Elite, but on a limited basis. Consider his vision of the future: A pervasive, absolute one world government run as a corporate entity -- in other words, he was a leftist corporatist fascist. Those who have heard the diatribes of Gerald Waterhouse should hearken back to his description of control the rulers of the world would have. One of his stories was the one about the person speeding, only to have his vehicle picked up and held in the air for an hour and being asked, "What's your hurry?" Everyone would have everything dictated to them, under tight control, having no say and no freedom in what they did. This absolutist dictatorship was to last 1,000 years, with absolutely no relief. It's to be it's own Reich.

Of course, many of the would be dictators in the crown enthusiastically supported this view: The promise to be someone important to relieve their current powerlessness in the world today for the wonderful world tomorrow where they could be the future Nazis uber alles. Herb, in the mean time, would be the overmaster manipulator who would have power and prestige as a God among Gods as God. If you think about it, there's something really sick about the kind of personality that would Hail the Empire to oppress the weak and helpless.

Perhaps there is no more chilling documentation to probe the depths of entitlement of Worldwide Church of God elite than Failed Experiment by Neotherm. It is the story of how conscientious objectors were treated by the elite of Ambassador College, Big Sandy Texas. Read of the alienation and oppression by fellow church (cult) members of those who could be sent to prison by head Nazis and, worse, could fall to a prison sentence by teenage crotch goblin spawn of ministerial and administrative authorities. One. Wrong. Word. The attitude of The Elite of the Worldwide Church of God toward their comember slaves is appalling.

Outrageous behavior was not contained to just the power centers, but disbursed throughout the cult, with lowly members receiving sometimes subtle discrimination from those who had ascended to the apex predator status through the ministrations of having once attending Ambassador College or, at minimum, achieved some 'office' in the cult. It didn't even have to be that: The rich and wealthy had quite the influence in the church -- if a rich businessman had grievance with some poor member, the discrimination could be quite devastating. There was rank among the rank and file. If you weren't careful and ran afoul of it, you could live a much more miserable life than the standard strictures of slavery within the fascist 'government of god'. Especially in the 1960s, ministers could dictate where you lived, what job you could get and whether or not you could marry someone and it had to be the 'right' someone. They could tell you how to spend your money... at least the money you had left over after all the tithes, offerings and special funds.

Indeed, those who were members of the Radio / Wordwise Church of God already have a glimpse of the world domination of the Globalist Elite. We've already lived it. Take note of the fact that The Elite of the cult were implacable in their manipulative dominance (until they fell from favor), so it is unlikely they would ever have any sort of redemption, being that they became hardened in their attainment of dominance. We still see many of them today and they keep getting worse. Dave Pack springs to mind. We have a glimpse, but it will be much worse, since technology has been implemented to enforce social credit scores.

One of the very concerning things is that the plans are now in development to have one (cyber) currency with one and only one centralized bank. President Joe Biden has already signed the executive order(s) to implement such a plan. At any time, the government can take any of your (virtual) money to spend on who knows what program (making all prole children trans, for example). Your 'money' can disappear from your account instantly, with no accounting for it and no mitigation. Want a steak? It won't be allowed because of (fictional) global warming. You'll eat bugs instead. Tesla is already set up to be controlled by the Internet. You may be limited to 5 kilometers from you 'residence' (perhaps a slide out bed somewhere), after which, it will either stop working or transport you to a police station for processing where you may disappear entirely.

For those of you who think this fabulous hyperbole, consider 2020 where Antifa and Black Lives Matter rioted without restriction to commit assault, theft, destruction of property, arson and even murder and they were never even arrested, or, if they were, they were not prosecuted. Meanwhile, those who defended themselves were in court for felonies. Some of them were found not guilty, others were not. Also note that there is an energy crisis and there are odd shortages. Farms are being eliminated for global goals, such as the farmers in the Netherlands. Weather these days has gotten outrageous, so The Elite must 'control' it: Global Warming is bringing the next Ice Age. Meanwhile, the lies escalate as the entropy of truth: The 'vax' kills more people than the disease and people are dying from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome. The globalist elite are creating a dystopian Draconian unlivable future (noting again that they want to eliminate 7.5 billion people to leave just enough to keep developing the technology The Elite want -- not unlike the Armstrongist elite).

Mitigation is messy

The only tool The Elite have in their toolbox is lies. That is the only tool. Unfortunately, it is a very powerful one. The Elite are getting away with all their lies. The solution to this is not an easy one, nor is it guaranteed because the lies are pervasive.

The first step we must take is to learn about gaslighting. In May, 1944, the Alfred Hitchcock movie, Gaslight was released. In the movie, a husband (Charles Boyer) schemes to make his wife (Ingrid Bergman) go crazy by insisting that she's hallucinating and imagining things. After the death of her famous opera-singing aunt, Paula (Ingrid Bergman) is sent to study in Italy to become a great opera singer as well. While there, she falls in love with the charming Gregory Anton (Charles Boyer). The two return to London, and Paula begins to notice strange goings-on: missing pictures, strange footsteps in the night and gaslights that dim without being touched. As she fights to retain her sanity, her new husband's intentions come into question. The husband's tampering with the gas lights in the home to confuse his wife to convince her she is crazy is where the term gaslighting comes from. Today, humanity is victim of the gaslighting from The Elite to convince us all that men can be pregnant, global warming is real, Joe Biden is the best president ever, Klaus Schwab cares about us, the mRNA vax is safe and stops the spread of COVID-19... and that we have no idea where Sudden Adult Death Syndrome comes from, killing fit athletes in their prime at 8 times the death rate from before 2020. We have no idea how the birth rate is dropping so dramatically. Supply chains are fine. Inflation is temporary. You'll have plenty of food and energy this winter. It's called gaslighting. There is a strategy to face it and mitigate its effects.

Carl Sagan’s rules for critical thinking offer cognitive fortification against propaganda, pseudoscience, and general falsehood.

Carl Sagan (November 9, 1934–December 20, 1996) was many things — a cosmic sage, voracious reader, hopeless romantic, and brilliant philosopher. But above all, he endures as our era’s greatest patron saint of reason and critical thinking, a master of the vital balance between skepticism and openness. In The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark (public library) — the same indispensable volume that gave us Sagan’s timeless meditation on science and spirituality, published mere months before his death in 1996 — Sagan shares his secret to upholding the rites of reason, even in the face of society’s most shameless untruths and outrageous propaganda.

In a chapter titled “The Fine Art of Baloney Detection,” Sagan reflects on the many types of deception to which we’re susceptible — from psychics to religious zealotry to paid product endorsements by scientists, which he held in especially low regard, noting that they “betray contempt for the intelligence of their customers” and “introduce an insidious corruption of popular attitudes about scientific objectivity.” (Cue in PBS’s Joe Hanson on how to read science news.) But rather than preaching from the ivory tower of self-righteousness, Sagan approaches the subject from the most vulnerable of places — having just lost both of his parents, he reflects on the all too human allure of promises of supernatural reunions in the afterlife, reminding us that falling for such fictions doesn’t make us stupid or bad people, but simply means that we need to equip ourselves with the right tools against them.

Through their training, scientists are equipped with what Sagan calls a “baloney detection kit” — a set of cognitive tools and techniques that fortify the mind against penetration by falsehoods:

The kit is brought out as a matter of course whenever new ideas are offered for consideration. If the new idea survives examination by the tools in our kit, we grant it warm, although tentative, acceptance. If you’re so inclined, if you don’t want to buy baloney even when it’s reassuring to do so, there are precautions that can be taken; there’s a tried-and-true, consumer-tested method.

But the kit, Sagan argues, isn’t merely a tool of science — rather, it contains invaluable tools of healthy skepticism that apply just as elegantly, and just as necessarily, to everyday life. By adopting the kit, we can all shield ourselves against clueless guile and deliberate manipulation. Sagan shares nine of these tools:

1. 1. Wherever possible there must be independent confirmation of the “facts.”
   2. Encourage substantive debate on the evidence by knowledgeable proponents of all points of view.
   3. Arguments from authority carry little weight — “authorities” have made mistakes in the past. They will do so again in the future. Perhaps a better way to say it is that in science there are no authorities; at most, there are experts.
   4. Spin more than one hypothesis. If there’s something to be explained, think of all the different ways in which it could be explained. Then think of tests by which you might systematically disprove each of the alternatives. What survives, the hypothesis that resists disproof in this Darwinian selection among “multiple working hypotheses,” has a much better chance of being the right answer than if you had simply run with the first idea that caught your fancy.
   5. Try not to get overly attached to a hypothesis just because it’s yours. It’s only a way station in the pursuit of knowledge. Ask yourself why you like the idea. Compare it fairly with the alternatives. See if you can find reasons for rejecting it. If you don’t, others will.
   6. Quantify. If whatever it is you’re explaining has some measure, some numerical quantity attached to it, you’ll be much better able to discriminate among competing hypotheses. What is vague and qualitative is open to many explanations. Of course there are truths to be sought in the many qualitative issues we are obliged to confront, but finding them is more challenging.
   7. If there’s a chain of argument, every link in the chain must work (including the premise) — not just most of them.
   8. Occam’s Razor. This convenient rule-of-thumb urges us when faced with two hypotheses that explain the data equally well to choose the simpler.
   9. Always ask whether the hypothesis can be, at least in principle, falsified. Propositions that are untestable, unfalsifiable are not worth much. Consider the grand idea that our Universe and everything in it is just an elementary particle — an electron, say — in a much bigger Cosmos. But if we can never acquire information from outside our Universe, is not the idea incapable of disproof? You must be able to check assertions out. Inveterate skeptics must be given the chance to follow your reasoning, to duplicate your experiments and see if they get the same result.

Just as important as learning these helpful tools, however, is unlearning and avoiding the most common pitfalls of common sense. Reminding us of where society is most vulnerable to those, Sagan writes:

In addition to teaching us what to do when evaluating a claim to knowledge, any good baloney detection kit must also teach us what not to do. It helps us recognize the most common and perilous fallacies of logic and rhetoric. Many good examples can be found in religion and politics, because their practitioners are so often obliged to justify two contradictory propositions.

He admonishes against the twenty most common and perilous ones — many rooted in our chronic discomfort with ambiguity — with examples of each in action:

1. 1. ad hominem — Latin for “to the man,” attacking the arguer and not the argument (e.g., The Reverend Dr. Smith is a known Biblical fundamentalist, so her objections to evolution need not be taken seriously)
   2. argument from authority (e.g., President Richard Nixon should be re-elected because he has a secret plan to end the war in Southeast Asia — but because it was secret, there was no way for the electorate to evaluate it on its merits; the argument amounted to trusting him because he was President: a mistake, as it turned out)
   3. argument from adverse consequences (e.g., A God meting out punishment and reward must exist, because if He didn’t, society would be much more lawless and dangerous — perhaps even ungovernable. Or: The defendant in a widely publicized murder trial must be found guilty; otherwise, it will be an encouragement for other men to murder their wives)
   4. appeal to ignorance — the claim that whatever has not been proved false must be true, and vice versa (e.g., There is no compelling evidence that UFOs are not visiting the Earth; therefore UFOs exist — and there is intelligent life elsewhere in the Universe. Or: There may be seventy kazillion other worlds, but not one is known to have the moral advancement of the Earth, so we’re still central to the Universe.) This impatience with ambiguity can be criticized in the phrase: absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
   5. special pleading, often to rescue a proposition in deep rhetorical trouble (e.g., How can a merciful God condemn future generations to torment because, against orders, one woman induced one man to eat an apple? Special plead: you don’t understand the subtle Doctrine of Free Will. Or: How can there be an equally godlike Father, Son, and Holy Ghost in the same Person? Special plead: You don’t understand the Divine Mystery of the Trinity. Or: How could God permit the followers of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam — each in their own way enjoined to heroic measures of loving kindness and compassion — to have perpetrated so much cruelty for so long? Special plead: You don’t understand Free Will again. And anyway, God moves in mysterious ways.)
   6. begging the question, also called assuming the answer (e.g., We must institute the death penalty to discourage violent crime. But does the violent crime rate in fact fall when the death penalty is imposed? Or: The stock market fell yesterday because of a technical adjustment and profit-taking by investors — but is there any independent evidence for the causal role of “adjustment” and profit-taking; have we learned anything at all from this purported explanation?)
   7. observational selection, also called the enumeration of favorable circumstances, or as the philosopher Francis Bacon described it, counting the hits and forgetting the misses (e.g., A state boasts of the Presidents it has produced, but is silent on its serial killers)
   8. statistics of small numbers — a close relative of observational selection (e.g., “They say 1 out of every 5 people is Chinese. How is this possible? I know hundreds of people, and none of them is Chinese. Yours truly.” Or: “I’ve thrown three sevens in a row. Tonight I can’t lose.”)
   9. misunderstanding of the nature of statistics (e.g., President Dwight Eisenhower expressing astonishment and alarm on discovering that fully half of all Americans have below average intelligence);
   10. inconsistency (e.g., Prudently plan for the worst of which a potential military adversary is capable, but thriftily ignore scientific projections on environmental dangers because they’re not “proved.” Or: Attribute the declining life expectancy in the former Soviet Union to the failures of communism many years ago, but never attribute the high infant mortality rate in the United States (now highest of the major industrial nations) to the failures of capitalism. Or: Consider it reasonable for the Universe to continue to exist forever into the future, but judge absurd the possibility that it has infinite duration into the past);
   11. non sequitur — Latin for “It doesn’t follow” (e.g., Our nation will prevail because God is great. But nearly every nation pretends this to be true; the German formulation was “Gott mit uns”). Often those falling into the non sequitur fallacy have simply failed to recognize alternative possibilities;
   12. post hoc, ergo propter hoc — Latin for “It happened after, so it was caused by” (e.g., Jaime Cardinal Sin, Archbishop of Manila: “I know of … a 26-year-old who looks 60 because she takes [contraceptive] pills.” Or: Before women got the vote, there were no nuclear weapons)
   13. meaningless question (e.g., What happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object? But if there is such a thing as an irresistible force there can be no immovable objects, and vice versa)
   14. excluded middle, or false dichotomy — considering only the two extremes in a continuum of intermediate possibilities (e.g., “Sure, take his side; my husband’s perfect; I’m always wrong.” Or: “Either you love your country or you hate it.” Or: “If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem”)
   15. short-term vs. long-term — a subset of the excluded middle, but so important I’ve pulled it out for special attention (e.g., We can’t afford programs to feed malnourished children and educate pre-school kids. We need to urgently deal with crime on the streets. Or: Why explore space or pursue fundamental science when we have so huge a budget deficit?);
   16. slippery slope, related to excluded middle (e.g., If we allow abortion in the first weeks of pregnancy, it will be impossible to prevent the killing of a full-term infant. Or, conversely: If the state prohibits abortion even in the ninth month, it will soon be telling us what to do with our bodies around the time of conception);
   17. confusion of correlation and causation (e.g., A survey shows that more college graduates are homosexual than those with lesser education; therefore education makes people gay. Or: Andean earthquakes are correlated with closest approaches of the planet Uranus; therefore — despite the absence of any such correlation for the nearer, more massive planet Jupiter — the latter causes the former)
   18. straw man — caricaturing a position to make it easier to attack (e.g., Scientists suppose that living things simply fell together by chance — a formulation that willfully ignores the central Darwinian insight, that Nature ratchets up by saving what works and discarding what doesn’t. Or — this is also a short-term/long-term fallacy — environmentalists care more for snail darters and spotted owls than they do for people)
   19. suppressed evidence, or half-truths (e.g., An amazingly accurate and widely quoted “prophecy” of the assassination attempt on President Reagan is shown on television; but — an important detail — was it recorded before or after the event? Or: These government abuses demand revolution, even if you can’t make an omelette without breaking some eggs. Yes, but is this likely to be a revolution in which far more people are killed than under the previous regime? What does the experience of other revolutions suggest? Are all revolutions against oppressive regimes desirable and in the interests of the people?)
   20. weasel words (e.g., The separation of powers of the U.S. Constitution specifies that the United States may not conduct a war without a declaration by Congress. On the other hand, Presidents are given control of foreign policy and the conduct of wars, which are potentially powerful tools for getting themselves re-elected. Presidents of either political party may therefore be tempted to arrange wars while waving the flag and calling the wars something else — “police actions,” “armed incursions,” “protective reaction strikes,” “pacification,” “safeguarding American interests,” and a wide variety of “operations,” such as “Operation Just Cause.” Euphemisms for war are one of a broad class of reinventions of language for political purposes. Talleyrand said, “An important art of politicians is to find new names for institutions which under old names have become odious to the public”)

Sagan ends the chapter with a necessary disclaimer:

Like all tools, the baloney detection kit can be misused, applied out of context, or even employed as a rote alternative to thinking. But applied judiciously, it can make all the difference in the world — not least in evaluating our own arguments before we present them to others.

The Demon-Haunted World is a timelessly fantastic read in its entirety, timelier than ever in a great many ways amidst our present media landscape of propaganda, pseudoscience, and various commercial motives. Complement it with Sagan on science and “God”.

It isn't perfect. The above are tools to probe and discover the lies. It does not necessarily gain you the truth and even if it were to, the truth might not do you much good: It's a lot like the rebellion against the Star Wars Empire. Nevertheless, you have to start somewhere and having the tools to pin the lies on the liars is a great place to start.
