Ekklesia

As promised, Bill over at Ekklesia is updating his site. A new feature, Top Secret, has recently appeared which contains articles of a more diverse nature, including one by the Lord of Darkness himself, Richard Dawkins. While you're there, click on those Google Ads that link to Weinland and Pack... each click costs those fine upstanding servants of their lord (possibly Baal or Dagon) precious moohlah, and helps Bill with his endeavor at the same time!

Actually, the money it costs Weinland and Pack with the AdWords is coming out of the pockets of the tithing members. Something you might want to consider, before you go click-crazy with the AdWords sponsored links.

Weinland Watch,

Yes, but shouldn't more money for Adwords mean less money for Weinland and Pack - everything else held constant (i.e. tithe income)?

I dunno it still seems like an awful waste to put members' hard-earned tithes to. Even though it means less in the ministurds' pockets, if we did anything in a concerted effort that would make a big enough dent, that would just mean they'd ask the members to dig deeper.

Well, if you could squeeze blood from a turnip, these profits would certainly find a way to do it.

Weeeeell, ANY use Wiener or Puke put that money to is gonna be a waste IMHO... do you really think ANY of it goes somewhere other than down the drain? Making sure it's spent wastefully and INEFFECTIVELY is the best possible outcome, don't you think, until the poor folk who send in their tithes wise up???

I don't think. But then again I'm of the opinion they should give all the money back in the first place, and not demand any "offerings" at all---whether it's tithing or just a weekly "give to god you sheeple" as per the hand-wavey WCG.

Hopeless idealist? What makes you ask? ;-)

Thanks for the link Gavin; that article on the divide between the Abrahamic religions was just what I was looking for! :-)
